Note:Henry Stull is considered one of the most important horse painters in the 19th century. His passion led him to buy a racehorse, Braw Lad. The thoroughbred was eventually purchased and bred by J.O. "Jack" Keene. It was Keene, whose property was purchased by the Keeneland Association, establishing one of the most beautiful racetracks in the country.
