Note: This is a pioneering work by a pioneering figure.  In words and images, Cartier-Bresson essentially defined the emerging art of photojournalism.  The title of the book has itself become a definition of both Cartier-Bresson's work and of the genre as a whole.  When this ground breaking tome was published in 1952,  it set the standard for the future of the field, and has maintained its' position of importance ever since.
