Dragon Bowl Chinese, late 19th century, possibly imperial, finely potted with deep rounded sides rising to a slightly flaring rim banded by a flattened rib, interior and exterior with a pure white glaze and engraved with a pair of strident five-clawed dragons contesting the flaming pearl, faint greenish tint has been imbedded into the engraving giving the illusion that the design has been cut through the biscuit, base glazed white with six-character mark of the period of the Guangzu emperor in Kaishu script in underglaze blue, 2-1/8 x 6 in. good condition.
