possibly late Qing dynasty, comprising: pair with carved dragon chasing pearl decoration (in search of eternal wisdom) with meander borders, on fitted rectangular stand with scroll and floral motifs, 7-3/8 x 12 x 6-1/4 in.; zitan wood example with carved bat (representing good health, long life, prosperity, love of virtue, and a tranquil, natural death) and chrysanthemum (happiness and vitality) decoration, on fitted square stand, 6-3/4 x 6-1/8 x 6-1/8 in.
