late 19th/20th century, four gilt decorated salesman sample tea cups with saucers, all marked "Spode, Copeland China, England"; silver tea set including tray, teapot, covered sugar and creamer, all marked "Sterling"; porcelain tea set in the Imari palette with gilt accents, including tray, teapot, sugar, creamer, two cups and saucers, all marked "Crown Staffordshire, Made in England, Est. 1801; five piece tea set with gilt accents, "Made in Portugal, VA [Vista Alegre], one tea cup and saucer with underglaze blue decoration, largest item (Imari tray) 7-1/4 x 5-1/2 in.

Note: The consignor's father owned a gift store in Spartanburg and these salesman samples were sent to him for selection purposes.

surface dirt and accretion, scattered scratches, areas of rubbing and losses to gilding; one Spode saucer with break and repair
Available payment options
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
