19th century, comprising: theorem style flower, watercolor on paper, sight, 9-1/2 x 7-3/8 in., period painted Pennsylvania German frame with text, starbursts, and floral design and dated 1850, inscription verso suggesting a Mahantango origin, poplar and white pine in old dry paint surface, 13-1/2 x 11-1/2 in.; calligraphic design reading "Anstina M. Piper", with swirl and floral pattern, watercolor and ink on paper, sight, 5 x 7-1/4 in., wood frame, 6-7/8 x 9-1/4 in.; small silhouette bust of woman, ink on paper, sight, 4-1/4 x 3-1/8 in., gilt wood frame, 5-5/8 x 4-5/8 in.; silhouette of man riding horse, reading "Captain Jonathan Cass/1st Reg. New Hampshire", signed "J.T." in bottom right corner, ink on paper, sight, 7-1/2 x 9-1/2 in., gilt wood frame, 10-3/8 x 12-3/8 in.

Note: Theorem example with taped backing inscribed "Mahantango Valley painting by a man who painted around the 1840s-1850s, bought in Churchtown at a beautiful antique shop no longer in existence...".
