British/Japanese, 19th/20th century, each in enamel and gilt decoration, comprising: one lidded tureen with rabbit form handles, base marked "Mason/Patent Ironstone China"; five trays in varying shapes and sizes, two Japanese; 11 plates in varying shapes and sizes; two scalloped edge bowls; two smaller scalloped edge bowls; one ovoid bowl; one octagonal bowl, largest overall 10-1/8 x 13-3/4 in.
Condition
anomalies, pinholes, glaze voids, and firing cracks, surface accretion, loss to gilt; tureen with cracks, repairs, and hairlines; one octagonal tray with 7 in. crack through body; three small plates with cracks and repairs, one with staple repairs, one larger plate with chip to rim, two larger plates with cracks and repairs (see blacklight); all four scalloped edge bowls with restorations; ovoid bowl with large hairline to interior right side; octagonal bowl with cracks and repairs
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
