most Chinese/Japanese, 19th century, black lacquer ground with gilt chinoiserie and landscape decoration, comprising: three trays; two lidded cylindrical boxes; rectangular lidded tray; two rectangular fan boxes; document tray; divided basket; collapsible hanging corner shelf; five drawer tabletop chest; largest 12-1/8 x 11 x 7-1/4 in.; with two Continental lacquered fans with turned wood handles, painted floral still life decoration, each 15-1/2 x 9-1/2 in.

Condition

surface dirt and accretion, scattered scratches, bumps, and edge chips, some rubbing and losses to lacquer and gilt decoration, wear commensurate with age and use; shallow footed bowl with several cracks and repairs; chest with large crack and separation to back panel; fan boxes with lids loose on hinges; fans slightly loose on handles, one with two large cracks

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
