American, 1929, round with wave edge, chased floral decoration, marks for Gorham Martele, Spaulding-Gorham, Inc., .9584 fine, back monogram "Hamilton", 42.21 oz. T., 15 in., floor with scratches and shallow dent, minor wear. Notes: According to L. J. Pristo, Ph.D., [Martele Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver,] this piece was completed November 12, 1929, the piece was made by James A. Mackenzie and took 24 hours, the chasing took 67.5 hours but chaser was not noted and net cost was $260.. Provenance: Private Indianapolis Collection
