Style Carved Mahogany Dining Chairs
late 19th century, each with lion mask carved knees and hairy paw feet, pierced splats with rosettes and carved phoenix heads, rich dark color, two with leather upholstery and six in velvet, two armchairs, 40 x 27 x 24 in.; six side chairs, 39 x 23-1/2 x 21 in. generally good condition with scattered surface wear and abrasions, leather upholstery with extensive cracking and distress, some dents and wear to rear stiles of side chairs, some minor cracks at splats and some slight looseness at joints, one with breaks and repairs at joint of crest rail to rear stiles and at one rear stile.
