Dower Chest the front with painted initials "SR/SR 1829", pine throughout, hinged top with wrought strap hinges, interior till, original iron lock, the well-painted case with eagle, songbird, tulip and other decoration on red ground, 27-1/2 x 52 x 25 in.. Condition: excellent condition overall, fine largely untouched surface, very minor abrasions and surface wear to paint, hinges reset or replaced (scars at back of case), original feet and blocking with only minor cracks and repairs.
