Mahogany Serpentine Desk Boston or Salem, late 18th century, well-fitted interior with three fan-carved blocked drawers, removable prospect with three hidden drawers, on original boldly carved ball-and-claw feet and the skirt set with a fan-carved central drop, 44 x 42 x 24 in.. Condition: brasses and hinges replaced, crack and minor patch to fallboard, one interior drawer replaced, original feet and blocking, scattered minor sun fading and other very minor repairs.
