circa 11th century, skull with probably later and undated gold plated scroll decorated applique and gold rimmed eye sockets, gold tests at least 22kt., 5-3/4 x 6-1/2 in. - Note: Lot accompanied by documents from Beta Analytic Inc., Miami, Florida in 2008, states that the radio carbon dating result from a sample of the skull indicates the age as "AD 1010 to 1170". - Provenance: Estate of Paul W.
