British, probably early 20th century, stamped mark for "Seddon & Co.", with hinged tufted leather seat, opening to a hidden folding library steps, brass inlaid mahogany frame on inlaid turned legs with brass casters, height with steps up 41-1/2 in., closed 24 x 34 x 19-1/2 in.
