British, late 18th/early 19th century, arched and painted dial signed "J. Frewin Hereford", eight day brass movement, oak case with scrolled pediment and brass rosettes, two weights and pendulum, waisted case with inset reeded quarter columns, 88 x 19-1/2 x 9-1/2 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Kingsport, Tennessee shrinkage separation at base panel, some breaks and repairs to feet (some elements loose), minor separation at one quarter column attachment, later brace at backboard, painted dial with surface wear and losses, fugitive numbers with retouch at Roman chapter ring, signature is faint, saddle board resurfaced or replaced, weights replacements (old paint cans filled with shot and spray painted gold)
