British, 18th/19th century, dial signed, "Gardner Brigg," well-painted arched dial depicting a plowing scene, seconds sweep and date aperture, pendulum and two weights, waisted case with arched pediment, and inlaid door with central lock and bone escutcheon, 84 x 21 x 9-1/2 in.

good condition overall, dial paint with scattered crackle and some possible re-touch, case generally good, brass rosettes replaced, some warping to glazed door, other typical shrinkage cracks, surface flaws, works and case likely a good match (later shims to uprights)
