a two-page partially printed Georgia land grant, the first page is a hand-drawn map surveyor's map of 250 acres of land and signed by the surveyor, the second page is signed by Governor John Clark (governor of Georgia, 1819-1824) stating that the land distributed from land acquired from Creek and Cherokee Nations, (during his tenure as Governor of Georgia, Clark oversaw the Treaty of 1821, which opened the Creek Indian lands between the Flint and Ocmulgee rivers for settlement. His repeated attempts to gain more land from the Creeks earned him the name "E-cun-naw-au-po-po-hau," which translates as "always asking for land"), 9-3/4 x 8 in. and 10-3/4 x 7-3/4 in. good only, paper is darkened in parts, creases have split in areas.
