Note: Moses Downing (b.1749-d.1825) of Easton, Bristol County, Massachusetts was a soldier in the 2nd Mass Regiment 1777 Continental Army. Major engagements for this regiment include: Bunker Hill, Battle of Trenton, Princeton, and Saratoga; served under Colonel John Bailey. Also, this regiment was encamped at Valley Forge in the winter of 1777-1778. The regiment disbanded in November of 1783.
