Mahogany Library Table attributed to Gillows British, circa 1830, stamped twice at underside of front edge "Gillows", tooled brown leather writing surface with gilt highlights and rosewood-banded surround, rosewood and mahogany leaf-carved trestle-form base on paw feet, rich brown color with early surface on base, set on casters, 29-3/4 x 56-3/4 x 27-3/4 in.

Condition

good condition overall, replaced leather top with some surface wear and stains, underside of top with later stain but does not appear to be altered, minor separations at foot laminations (two laminations with later screws at underside and possibly restored?; see detailed photos), frame with typical minor wear and abrasions
