British, circa 1765, with carved and gilt scrolled pediment centering a well carved spread wing phoenix, standing on a rocky plinth, mahogany frame with carved and gilt moldings and appliques centering a cartouche form mirror plate, back with probably late 19th century label for "J.W. Edwards/Carver, Gilder, and Picture Frame Manufacturer... Exeter", 56-1/4 x 29-1/4 in.
