Dancyger, Newcastle", early 19th century, arched and painted dial with shepherdess crest and sheep spandrels, seconds and date sweeps, eight day brass movement, pendulum and two iron weights present, hood with large conch shell patera inlay, brass finials, waisted case with figured veneers and inlays, 94 x 19 x 9-1/2 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Nashville, Tennessee

generally good condition, works and case probably a good match (case uprights appear to have been trimmed), some warping to door, minor flaking to painted dial, some water spotting and finish distress to case, other scattered typical veneer cracks, repairs, and other distress, lower backboards replaced, feet possibly trimmed, other restorations to base (later interior supports, some restorations and color variation to lower molding)
