British, early 19th century, upper case with dentil molded cornice over two glazed doors opening to adjustable shelved interior with fabric lined back, lower case with finely fitted desk drawer, with figured lightwood veneers, with two long valance drawers over four small drawers centering document drawers and inlaid prospect door, shaped and inlaid skirt, French feet, 91 x 48-1/2 x 21-1/2 in. - Provenance: one drawer with label for Otto Zenke, Greensboro; Private Collection, Kingsport, Tennessee generally good condition, brasses replaced, original feet with scattered patches and repairs, veneer distress and scattered losses, especially to edges of top, some minor warping to drawer facings, scattered stains and surface distress to desk interior with some cracks and minor warping, two minor cracks to door glazing, loss to one muntin facing, minor warping to glazed doors
