British, late 18th/early 19th century, rich reddish brown color, fitted interior with six drawers and paneled prospect door, dovetailed construction with mahogany linings, above four long drawers, probably original brass pulls, 39-1/2 x 36 x 20-3/4 in. - Provenance: Property from a duPont Family Estate, Charlottesville, Virginia generally good condition, two interior valances off but present, minor warping to slant lid, small molding loss at one front corner, typical scratches, abrasions, and surface wear throughout, feet probably restored
