British, 19th century, walnut and possibly mahogany, elaborately carved frame with scrolled dolphin-form feet, set with fine pale blue silk upholstery, 42 x 32 x 27-1/2 in., good condition overall, some repairs at joints of crest, breaks and repairs at rear ankles, cracks at one arm support, scattered veneer cracks and patches at skirt, other minor repairs and surface flaws, upholstery generally good condition, not examined under upholstery.
