British, 18th century, tall back with shaped sides and scrolled arms, shell-carved knees and pad feet, appears to be beech secondary, 46-1/2 in., some knee returns restored, scattered minor pest damage, surface wear and abrasions to legs, upholstery with some fading and wear, not examined under upholstery (one corner of back panel with disturbed upholstery and exposed frame).
