British, possibly Irish, mid 18th century, molded and inlaid top with bookmatched veneers, three dovetailed drawers, scalloped skirt, leaf carved knees and hairy paw feet, 26 x 30-1/2 x 19-1/2 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Saluda, North Carolina brasses replaced, patch and repair at top of one drawer facing, scattered veneer losses and replacements, scattered pest damage to secondary surfaces, especially at backboard (distress and some looseness at leg attachments, legs possibly restored, see detailed photos), chip and loose connection at one front knee return, some possible reveneering
