British, 18th century, shell and floral carved crest with leaf and rosette carved hand grips, pierced splats, shell-carved cabriole front leg on ball-and-claw foot, legs set with stretchers, slip seat possibly original, 31-1/2 in.. Condition: all three rear feet pieced, break and repair at front ankle and the foot is largely restored, other cracks to front leg with wear and abrasions to carving, some separations at laminations, wear to carving.
