late 19th century, red marble column form base with gilt bronze panther head mask appliques, surmounted by bronze statue after Adrienne Gaudez (French, 1845-1902) marked "A.Gaudez" and "Tresor des Mers", dial with raised gilt bronze numerals and hinged glass panel, eight day time and strike, works stamped "6374", with pendulum and key, 33-1/2 in. - Provenance:
surface dirt layer and accretion, scattered surface scratches and cracks throughout, some small chips and edge wear, statue not secure on base, some scratches and wear where statue sits on pedestal, some numerals possibly repaired or replaced (some with adhesive residue), not tested for functionality
Condition
Purchased items not picked up within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
