19th/20th century, comprising a pair of stacking lidded boxes, each with two red painted interior compartments, 7 x 8-3/4 x 9-1/2 in.; small four drawer writing box with red lacquer leaf decoration, 8-1/4 x 7-1/4 x 10 in.; portable writing desk with lidded top opening to shallow interior compartment, four small drawers, 8-1/2 x 19-1/4 x 11-1/2 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, Asheville, North Carolina
surface dirt layer and accretion, scattered cracks and separations throughout; stacking boxes with some warping to wood (sections don't sit flush with edges, one lid does not sit flush with edge); writing deskÿwith some warping to wood (drawers stick slightly when pulled, some slightly off track), minor pest damage and associated losses, lid with split at back edge, glue repair where top edge joins top panel; writing box with one base side panel loose
Condition
Purchased items not picked up within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
