California Basket, Buttocks Basket, Shaker Style Basket early 20th century: Cherokee river cane, round-to-square base egg basket, 9-1/2 x 12-1/2 in., [wear to woven top rim, minor separations to weave, some soiling]; Cherokee three-color river cane, circular top rim and square base, oak loop handle, 9-1/2 in. to top of handle x 7-1/4 in., [some soiling and minor breaks to rim banding;] Cherokee five-color river cane basket, split oak loop handle, 6 x 4-3/4 in., [minor losses to woven rim, minor breaks at corners;] circular Cherokee three-color river cane basket, base marked "No. 20" in black ink, 3-7/8 x 4-1/2 in., [minor breaks to woven rim, some loose elements, breaks and cracking to cane at base;] finely woven California coiled cooking basket, alternating vertical designs, two horizontal designs, 3-3/4 x 8 in., [top rim losses;] finely woven buttocks gathering basket with oak loop handle, 8-1/2 x 11-1/4 x 8 in., [losses to wraps at handle, extensive losses to bottom;] finely woven oak Shaker style egg or gathering basket, carved and shaped oak loop handle, bottom fitted with three brass-tack stabilizers, base marked "MW 80", 16 x 14-3/4 in., [bottom lacking two brass rivets holding side strap] .
