most Rhode Island, late 18th/early 19th century, comprising a fine green-painted fan-back example with leather seat, probably Rhode Island, pine plank seat, ring-and-baluster turnings, excellent condition, modern leather upholstery, old repaint with some wear and losses; side chair in early surface with dark green over gray and red paint, ring-and-baluster turnings, generally good condition, minor cracks to seat, scattered paint wear and losses; brace-back side chair, probably Rhode Island, in black over earlier white paint, pine plank seat, bold ring-and-baluster turned legs, minor cracks to seat, surface wear and paint losses, otherwise good condition; black-painted side chair, old black surface, poplar seat, good condition, wear and losses at some turnings, paint old but not original, very minor cracks to seat, 35-1/4 x 20-1/2 x 19-1/2 in. to 28 x 19 x 20-1/4 in. .
