18th century, one New England example in maple with vasiform splat, rush seat, turned legs and stretcher, Spanish feet, 41-1/4 x 19 x 15 in.; three New York examples, two in cherry, one in maple marked "PND", each with vasiform splat, rush seat, baluster legs, turned stretcher, pad feet, tallest 40-1/4 x 19-1/2 x 15 in.

Condition

all chairs structurally sound, New England example with typical repairs at crest rail, return stretchers appear to be replaced, turned front stretcher with repairs; one cherry New York chair with replaced front foot, other cherry example with repair at center of crest rail, loss to one front leg (finished over), reattached return stretchers, maple example with losses to rush seat and small surface losses, all resurfaced with scattered wear and imperfections from age and use, rush seats all with discoloration and fraying

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
