Taborets and Footstools
early 20th century, comprising two footstools, one in dark-stained oak, attributed to Gustav Stickley, partial applied label at lower stretcher "Made by Stickley Bros. Co.", through-tenon construction, leather upholstery, 15 x 17 x 12 in.,
reupholstered, some cracking to legs; one with through-tenon construction, attributed to Limbert, leather-upholstered slip seat, 9-1/2 x 19 x 12 in.,
later leather upholstery with some color loss; two taborets, one with square top with notched corners, probably Gustav Stickley, cross-stretchers with through tenons, 20 x 17-1/2 x 18 in.,
one area of top with some retouch at edge, surface probably cleaned; one circular with X-form base, square legs with stretchers, unmarked, attributed to Gustav Stickley, 20 x 17-1/2 x 18 in.,
refinished all with light surface wear and abrasions. Provenance: Property of Ronald and Cheryl Howard, sold to benefit the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association
