Toyohara Kunichika (Japanese, 1835-1900), three yakusha-e prints, signed "Tohohara Kunichika hitsu" with toshidama seal, oban tate-e, each sheet approximately 14-3/4 x 10 in., one unframed; modern gilt wood frame, 19-3/4 x 25-1/2 in.; bijin-ga print, garden scene, signed "Kunichika hitsu" with toshidama seal, oban tate-e, sheet 14-1/8 x 9-3/8 in.; modern frame, silk lined mat, 23-3/4 x 15-5/8 in.; Morikawa Chikashige (Japanese, fl. 1860-1900), two panels from a kabuki triptych, signed "Chikashige hitsu", oban tate-e diptych, each sheet 14 x 9-1/4 in., overall 14 x 18-3/4 in.; framed, 19-1/2 x 24-1/4 in. - Provenance: Lifetime Collection of a Kentucky Lady
Kunichika diptych hinged in on mat, probably trimmed, right sheet with wear and small tears to edge, a few scattered stains throughout; unframed Kunichika print hinged in on jacket, wear to edges, light toning; bijin-ga print laid down, some scattered light staining throughout; Chikashige diptych hinged in on mat, center reinforced with archival tape, wear and small tears to edges, some small losses throughout, good color; frames with light wear and abrasions, some wear and losses to silk mat
Condition
Purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
