ring, one partial diamond, one pinkish red stone, stamped "sterling", size 6-1/4, 10.3 grams; necklace, purple and red class cabochons, tested non-gold, stamped "Mexico", center medallion approx. 2-1/4 x 4-1/2 in., on black velvet 18 in. lg., 40.9 grams; ceramic cherub brooch, marked "Edris", 1-7/8 x 2-5/8 in., 36.6 grams; two brooches, base metal, 1-1/16 x 2-1/4 and 2 x 3-3/4 in., 34.2 grams - Provenance: Proceeds to Benefit Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University
ring, diamond is chipped- appears to possibly have been intentional to create crescent moon shape, tarnish, heavy wear to design, evidence of sizing/visible solder areas on back of shank; necklace, areas of heavy tarnish/wear to plating, scratches, center medallion could also be belt?- currently fashioned as necklace but it is very flat and does not sit well on neck; cherub brooch, a lot of visible glue on back to hold pin; two brooches, green discoloration to smaller one, wear to plating, wear and scratches, discoloration
Condition
Purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
