Provenance: Property from Historic Dean Hall Plantation, South Carolina
Note: We have reason to believe that these may be fabrications made after the fact and, therefore, they are being sold as 'fantasy' pieces. The story passed to our consignor was a remarkable tale, if true, of an abandoned safe in Charleston, South Carolina, where these were discovered and assumed to be commissioned pieces that were never delivered. An interesting story, but perhaps just that at the end of the day.
