19th/20th century, bronze bust of Diana, after the antique, indistinctly signed and dated "Borme / 1898" (probablyÿEugen Bormel, German,ÿ1858-1932), mounted on a painted wood base, 7-1/4 in.; French Empire patinated and gilt bronze bust, possibly of Diana, on later marbleized plaster pedestal, 12-1/2 in.; Italian bronze figure of winged Victory, 9-1/4 in.; gilt bronze head of youth as classical ruin, mounted on painted wood and marble base, 5-1/2 in., accompanied by copy of receipt from Peter Mack Brown, Washington, D.C.;ÿancient Roman style patinated bronze pitcher with relief decoration, 5 in.

Condition

some losses to gilt and patinated surfaces, scattered casting flaws, chips and abrasions to marble and wood bases; later plaster base with break and repair; winged victory with verdigris, break and repair to wing, break and loss to part of strap; bust of classical ruin loosely attached; other surface wear and abrasions consistent with age and use
Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser’s risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items. Items purchased from our Asheville auction facility not picked up within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item.
