Box, Tea Caddy, Ebonized Glove Box English and possibly Russian, 19th century: rosewood sewing box with line inlay, octagonal lid with inset gilt castle painting under glass, ripple molding, inlaid brass escutcheon, interior fitted as sewing box, central hinged compartment with pincushion, 2-3/4 x 11-1/8 x 8-1/8 in., [old scratches and repairs, minor loss to inlay and one hinge, interior pulls do not match;] finely painted and lacquered tea caddy with hinged top, fine molding surround, brass line inlay, interior with original foil, possibly Russian, 5-1/2 x 7-5/8 x 6 in., [old surface wear and losses to right side of top, minor foil loss;] black-lacquered glove box with gilt highlights, hinged top with finely gilt painting under glass depicting 1851 Crystal Palace Exhibition, applied brass escutcheon, 3 x 9-3/4 x 3-3/4 in., [losses and water damage to painting, minor chip to molding at back]; loss to image on top, losses to right side of top; one with crazing to lacquer, light scratches, wear to bottom corners, small loss to lacquer at top left corner of box and above escucheon.
