Chinese, late 19th/early 20th century, gray-to-white carved jade recumbent dog with curled tail, 1-3/8 x 5 in., on a finely carved stand with four feet, 2-1/2 in. traces of brown skin visible at head and back, internal fracture visible at right front and possibly at left hindquarter; break and repair to both front legs near body.
