Centerpiece
England, Stoke-on-Trent, circa 1870, hand-painted porcelain centerpiece with cover and stand, wide oval container with two large scrolled handles, painted by C. F. Hurten (active 1862-1890s) on one side with flowers and on the other with fruit still life (signed Hurten); cover with gilded putto finial flanked by small cornucopia; stand with deep apron, four scrolled legs and two masks joined by heavy swags. 15 1/2 x 18 in. handles repaired and regilded; body with small drilled hole in bottom; putto and cornucopia with repaired head, arms and wings and regilded; stand broken in three parts and repaired, some repairs on swags, .
