Piedmont, North Carolina, circa 1800, richly grained walnut throughout, yellow pine secondary, three dovetailed drawers with inlaid kite escutcheons, four paneled doors, bottom with illegible chalk signature,ÿ42-1/2 x 74 x 22-1/2 in. - Provenance: Said to have been purchased from the Mickle family of Winston Salem. Consignor notes also indicate it is thought to have connections to the Edwards family, dairy farmers on Highway 150 toward Oak Ridge near Kernersville; Private Collection

Condition

good overall, two short drawers appear to retain original brasses (central drawer with replaced brass), repairs at joints of central front legs, one with evidence of previous braces (now removed), back with scars from three previous braces (now removed), typical edge wear to legs and feet
