Huntboard Attributed to South Carolina, early 19th century, four dovetailed drawers with yellow pine secondary, centering star inlaid door, finely tapered and inlaid legs, 39 x 54-1/4 x 23-3/4 in.. Condition: strip patch at door to hinges, old dry varnished surface, brasses replaced, front board of top resurfaced at underside and with kerfed marks to correct warping (appears to be original material), one drawer facing with strip patch at bottom and replaced bottom board, scattered minor repairs and restoration to inlay, minor chips to feet, some later blocking for top, other scattered cracks, surface flaws and minor repalirs. Notes: A closely related huntboard sold at Sothebys in 1999 for $43,000.

Sales Tax: If you live in North Carolina and/or pick up from the auction house, and do not have a valid resale tax number on file with us, you MUST pay North Carolina state sales tax. The NC Sales Tax will not apply to any items being shipped out of state (unless the client resides in North Carolina) or to those clients with a resale tax number.
