Georgia or South Carolina, early 19th century, figured walnut with poplar secondary, inlaid top, finely dovetailed single drawer with inscription "Mrs. Martha Maddock", dovetailed and rosehead nail construction, diamond and line inlays, rich, lustrous, early surface, 28-1/2 x 18-1/2 x 18 in.

excellent condition overall, top set with later glue blocks and with minor warping and shrinkage separation, scattered stains, minor cracks, and surface wear consistent with age and use
