Diminutive Huntboard
attributed to Eastern Tennessee, 19th century, huntboard or slab table with shaped backsplash over two dovetailed drawers, poplar secondary, 47 x 41-1/4 x 21-1/2 in.. Condition: good condition, brasses replaced, warping and shrinkage cracks to top, chips and losses to edge veneers at sides of top, drawer beading restored, later braces at underside of top, other scattered wear and minor repairs consistent with age and use. Provenance: by tradition, this fine slab table was found in Greeneville, Tennessee; The Estate of Marcus King, Blountville, Tennessee
