circa 1780-1790, attributed to Daniel Trotter, pierced ribbon slats with fine leaf and rosette pierced carving, crest with leaf carved corners, serpentine front rails, molded legs with stretchers, interior lip of front seat rail incised "VI", period slip seat, seat rail return with old paper label inscribed "Mrs. Willard Spencer, 1007 So. 49th St.", 38 x 22 x 19 in.

Condition
in a fine state of overall preservation, repair to one ear of crest rail, top slat with repairs, small repair to lower splat, refinished, slip seat is period but likely associated, other general wear as expected with age and use
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received.
