Pennsylvania, 1760-1780, each with serpentine scrolled crest with scrolled ears centering a stylized leafy shell, over pierced splat with scrolled flutes, leaf carved knees with leaf carved and scrolled returns, ball and claw feet, one chair retaining original slip seat, chairs variously marked "IV" and "V", 40-1/4 in.
