manner of Thomas Chippendale, 1760-1770, each beechwood and other mixed woods with well-carved frame with bellflower back and hand grips, leaf-carved legs and scroll feet, modern striped upholstery, 35 x 24 x 27 in.. Condition: old refinishing (likely once gilt or painted), one with break and repair with later brace at rear foot and one small scroll restored; the other with patch at back of crest rail (possibly as made), very light wear and stains to upholstery.
