school of Duncan Phyfe, circa 1825, stepped figured mahogany bookmatched backsplash above unusual drop front center section opening to two dovetailed trays, flanked by two frieze drawers, cabinet doors with shelved interior, columns with brass capitals and bases with lion's paw feet, front feet with reddish paint over possibly earlier verdigris, fine dovetailed construction, drawers with mahogany and poplar secondary, case sides each with pull out drink slide, 54 x 80-3/4 x 25 in.
good condition overall, veneer losses at right drawer surround, polish residue, typical shrinkage cracks, minor warping and checking, other surface and veneer flaws, bumps and wear at carved feet, unusual drop front center section appears to be as made, interior trays with good evidence of age but could be later in date
