American, late 18th century, boldly shaped crest and rolled arms, serpentine front rail, tapered square mahogany legs with H-stretchers, heavy oak seat frame, pine back frame, fine silk gray and pale yellow striped upholstery, 41 x 95 x 34 in., minor break and repair to one front leg, other minor flaws to legs and stretchers, refinished, modern upholstery with very light surface wear; upholstery removed from back in previous sale and frame appears to be in good condition (upholstery not removed from front or arms). Notes: Photographers need to pull up the details we had of this pre-upholstery from when we sold it before, May 3, 2008, lot 346..
