circa 1745, Boston or Newport, serpentine crest rail centered by a carved scallop shell, vasiform splat, shaped seat, cabriole legs with shell and floral carved knees, ball and claw feet, turned stretchers, maple secondary wood, 39-1/4 x 20-1/2 x 18 in.
